On August 5, the DeeCamp 2026 AI for Science (AI4S) Master Class, themed "When Cells Can Be Simulated, Clinical Trials Can Be Rehearsed," will officially open at Shanghai World Trade Center.
Tan Yang, Research Scientist at Matwings Technology AI Lab, is an invited speaker at the Master Class. He will present the full 0-to-1 development journey, technical breakthroughs, and end-to-end real-world implementation practices behind the dialogue-driven protein R&D agent MatwingsVenus™ (Xiaowu™), sharing how teams can drive complex protein design and optimization simply via natural language "chat" interactions with the platform.
Tan will also join the event panel alongside leading industry experts for in-depth discussion: once AI is integrated into end-to-end closed-loop research workflows, are machines merely tools, collaborative partners, or potential future "scientists" in their own right? The conversation will explore the future boundaries of AI-powered life science research.
📌 Agenda preview:
📋 15:30–16:00 Keynote | R&D Through Conversation: The 0-to-1 Journey of the Xiaowu Protein R&D Agent
📋 16:00–16:30 Panel Discussion | When AI Enters Closed-Loop Research Workflows: Can Machines Become True Scientists?
🧑💼 Speaker: Tan Yang | Research Scientist, Matwings Technology AI Lab
